RDA EU3 has approved three travel bursaries of €500 each to support participation in RDA/ADHO Workshop
Evaluating Research Data Infrastructure Components and Engaging in their Development at DH2016 in Krakow, July 12-16, 2016. In order to apply for this grant, applicants must reside/work in Europe. The purpose of the grants is to encourage participation by individuals who have a strong interest in adopting one or more of the RDA EU outputs to enable data sharing by or from their project.
Candidates will be asked to submit an application that will be evaluated upon the following:
- A statement describing their interest in on one or more of the existing RDA Outputs and/or in-progress Working Groups
- A use case or set of user stories demonstrating their data sharing need.
- A description of their project’s digital humanities data infrastructure requirements.
All applications will be reviewed and ranked on the above criteria by the workshop organisers. Where rankings are similar, preference will be given to early career scholars. as we hope the bursaries can be used to help individuals who might not otherwise have been able to attend the workshop.
The deadline for submission is May 31. Submissions will be evaluated and successful applicants will be informed by 7th June, 2016. RDA WG chairs for relevant outputs may be asked to participate in the review as necessary.
